CREATIVE 1 PUBLISHINGEst. 2020 · U.S.A. · France

Origins · Since 2018

It started on the page.

Before the novels there were short stories, poems and unedited notebooks. Tim Storrs published his first book, Ripped Pages, in 2018, then kept going: poetry collections, pulp magazines, comics drawn by commissioned artists, and photo books shot in Paris, New York and Rochester.

He wrote, designed, printed, signed and shipped them himself. In 2020 that work became Creative 1 Publishing. Everything in the catalog grew out of it.

The first mark

STASH: Pulp Quarter Stories

At the very start of Creative 1 there was STASH. The original pulp magazine and its logo were a nod to the Saturday-morning action cartoons of the 1980s, the M.A.S.K. era, that shaped every comic that came after: fast cars, big explosions, odds you roll for.

Everything on this page traces back to it.
